M. Barrie\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/J._M._Barrie\" target=\"_blank\">J. M. Barrie&#8217;s<\/a><\/strong> character <strong><a title=\"Peter Pan\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Peter_Pan\" target=\"_blank\">Peter Pan<\/a><\/strong>, describing how to get to Never Land. Obviously this is not a real place, but rather an imaginary place where you can have amazing experiences you can only dream of.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Unexpected Dreams<\/strong><br \/>\nIn contrast to J. M. Rather than obeying orders, he chose to continue the long running mission of exploration. A mission of learning and discovery in an effort to better understand our universe.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/jasemccarty.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/12\/kirk.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-1200\" title=\"James T. Kirk\" src=\"http:\/\/jasemccarty.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/12\/kirk.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"250\" height=\"264\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Well, I&#8217;m not a ship&#8217;s Captain going <strong><a title=\"Absense without leave\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/AWOL#Absence_without_leave\">AWOL<\/a><\/strong>, but I feel the essence of his message.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">I continue to look forward to what hasn&#8217;t been discovered, or invented yet.\u00a0 I can only imagine the new technologies in store for 2011 and beyond.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Who knows how our world will change over the course of the next year?<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Most importantly, we need to keep our dreams alive, fostering thought, communication, and understanding, while being good citizens of the world we live in.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">I think Kirk would agree.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Yes, that is a quote from J.
