Private Sector<\/strong> Before VMware, I supported the U.S. Federal Government as a vSpecialist at EMC. Before crossing over to the vendor space,\u00a0 I worked for 5 1\/2 years at an Internet lending company, as a Senior Systems Engineer and Architect, where I managed hundreds of hosted systems for banks, credit unions, and other financial institutions. Prior to that, I worked in the Health Insurance industry for 5 years as a Systems Engineer, Application Engineer, and Account Manager.<\/p>\n Public Sector<\/strong><\/p>\n Before joining the ranks of the private sector, I worked at The University of Southern Mississippi for the Mississippi Department of Education managing of a statewide technology program.<\/p>\n I am a retired member of the\u00a0Air National Guard, with over 24 years. \nPrior to joining Pure Storage, I was a Staff Technical Marketing Architect in the VMware HCI Business Unit. I was a global SME for several VMware vSAN Advanced features, including but not limited to vSAN automation, vSAN Security, and vSAN 2 Node and Stretched Cluster configurations, but was included in a VMware Reduction in Force (RIF) in 2020.<\/p>\n
\nIn conjunction with my professional and military careers, I have also worked as an Adjunct Instructor at Tulane University College and the University of Phoenix, focusing on Information Technology topics including systems, applications, and electronic business.<\/p>\n
\nI have co-authored two books<\/a><\/strong> on VMware virtualization technologies, have several published articles<\/strong><\/a>,\u00a0 have been quoted<\/strong><\/a> on several occasions, and am a four time recipient of the VMware vExpert designation.<\/p>\n
\n<\/strong>I hold a Master of Science in Engineering Technology, a Bachelor of Science in Electronic Engineering Technology, an Associates of Science in Computer Information Systems, and an Associates of Arts in General Studies.<\/p>\n
